These accent breakdowns and syllabuses are designed to give you information about the changes you are likely to need to make to speak more clearly and more accurately in English.
They are based on different groups of accents that have a lot of features in common.
It is not necessary to teach in groups arranged by different accent types. Believe us, we tested it for three years! And we had exactly the same, in many cases better, results in our Mixed Accent groups. And in the Mixed groups, the process was often more fun and more fascinating as a result of the exchange of cultures. So we now only offer Mixed accent groups.
However, you do need to gain a clear idea of exactly what changes you are likely to need to make. Most of this precise, personal analysis will be done by your coach in your classes or sessions, but these syllabuses act as a rough guide before you start.
If you don't find your language here, don't despair. Some languages (for example Turkish) are very hard to categorise. Your coach will know after just a few moments listening to you exactly what you need to work on and will let you know.
