Cathleen McCarron trained as a voice coach at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating from the MA Voice Studies programme with Distinction. She subsequently undertook further advanced training in speech and accent work in New York with renowned phoneticians Dudley Knight and Philip Thompson. Cathleen's work for Speak Easily encompasses accent reduction, pure voice and public speaking skills and her client list includes teachers, journalists, doctors, finance professionals, politicians and employees of Harrods, Credit Suisse, Cartier, HSBC, BBC, McQuaries and Great Ormond Street Hospital amongst others. Cathleen is an Associate Practitioner in Voice and Text with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She is a member of the voice team on the RSC's multi-Olivier award-winning musical Matilda and regularly contributes voice and text workshops for the RSC's many outreach projects. Cathleen also regularly delivers workshops for students, teachers and directors with the National Theatre's Learning Department. She has tutored in voice and dialect at several accredited drama schools and is currently the voice tutor for the MA Acting (Classical and Contemporary) course at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Prior to training as a voice coach, Cathleen worked as a professional actress across theatre, film, television and radio. She continues to work frequently as a voiceover artist and is also a professional storyteller.
