Helen
Ashton has taught Voice, Speech and Accent
in many major Drama schools, including The Central School
of Speech and Drama, Drama Centre London, Birmingham School
of Acting, The Caravanserai and The Urdang Academy. She also
provides Voice coaching at Di Trevis’ Workshops.
Helen has worked with individuals from The Department
of Defence, the Department for Food, Environment and Rural
Affairs (Defra), The NHS, Orange, CitiBank and the Julia Gabriel
Centres. She provides voice training for Powerful Communication
Associates.
Her work also includes community voice work
through Knowledge Transfer at The Central School of Speech
and Drama. She leads Voice and Movement workshops for Transgender
community in association with GALOP, and has taught communication
skills workshops in Young Offenders Institutions.
Helen graduated with Distinction from the MA
in Voice Studies at The Central School of Speech and Drama.
She also holds an MA with First Class Honours in History from
The University of Edinburgh.
Helen Ashton enjoys teaching voice, speech and
accent to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. She
is committed to helping people from all walks of life to communicate
expressively and with ease.
