Laurann
J. Brown is a voice coach specializing in
both practical voice, and accent and dialect work. Her coaching
work includes RP, various American and other international
accents and dialects as well as practical voice work for both
undergraduate and post-graduate students.
She has taught in various London drama schools
including East 15, The Urdang Academy, Central School of Speech
and Drama and Rose Bruford. She has also coached accent/dialect
and voice on several theatre productions, including the world
premiere of The Marilyn Monroe Show at the Brighton Fringe
Festival (2008), Goodenough College's charity production of
The Vagina Monologues (2009) and the critically acclaimed
ensemble production of Hans Christian Anderson's Dark Tales
(2009).
She maintains a thriving private practice in
addition to working in the corporate sector as a voice and
body presentation skills specialist.
Laurann holds an MA Voice Studies from Central School of Speech
and Drama, a BA Theatre from the University of British Columbia
(Vancouver, Canada) and a Diploma in Massage Therapy from
Mount Royal College (Calgary, Canada).
