Sonya
Ross is a highly qualified Voice and Accent
teacher who specialises in Accent Reduction. She is a Phonetics
and EFL specialist with over eight years' experience training
non-native speakers on pronunciation and accent. She has taught
voice, speech, phonetics and accents in several of London's
leading Drama Schools, such as the Central School of Speech
and Drama and Italia Conti.
Sonya's private client list includes employees
of multinationals such as Deutche Post, KPMG, PWC, financiers,
teachers, accountants and architects. She also provides accent
coaching to actors and theatre companies.
She taught Business English, pronunciation and
presentation skills in Paris and London for 5 years, before
gaining an MA in Voice Studies from Central School of Speech
and Drama, London. She is also qualified with a distinction
in phonetics from the International Phonetics Association.
Her approach to coaching integrates science
(phonetics and precise physical awareness) with creativity
(finding the exercises that work best for each individual)
and she is in much demand and greatly appreciated by her clients.
